How to Make a Haritaki Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 teaspoons of dried haritaki seeds or powder
  • Water
  • Optional: honey or lemon for flavor

Equipment:

  • Teapot or saucepan
  • Tea strainer or infuser
  • Cups or mugs

Instructions:

  1. Measure out your desired amount of dried haritaki fruit. A general rule of thumb is to use around 1-2 teaspoons of dried fruit per cup of water.
  2. Rinse the dried haritaki fruit with cold water to remove any dirt or debris.
  3. Bring the water to a boil in a teapot or saucepan.
  4. Add the dried haritaki fruit to the boiling water and reduce the heat to a simmer.
  5. Let the tea simmer for around 15-20 minutes to allow the flavor and properties of the fruit to infuse into the water.
  6. Remove the tea from heat and strain the fruit out using a tea strainer or remove the infuser from the pot.
  7. If desired, add honey or lemon to flavor the tea.
  8. Pour the haritaki tea into cups or mugs and enjoy!
